📖  THE PROCESS:

This handmade vase starts as a single ball of clay, and a vase is thrown on the potter's wheel. Texture is added and the foot is created. Gentle curves around the foot mimic the movement of the ocean or a stingray, and serve as a function to catch the drippy glazes. 

After drying, the piece is bisque fired, then multiple glazes are applied and layered, and the piece is fired a second time in the kiln to transform into a final work of art.
